Assembling experience
This is quite a special build for me and I am so glad I invested in it. Finally getting used to soldering and this time I did not have to go back for one single key so that was a win for me. I went with the default plate which is PC plate, lubed and filmed North Pole switches and all of the foam option ! Except PE sheet. I thought I would put as much as I wanted on the bottom so that I can test it and take it out if needed.
Building this Glacier80 was quite simple. There are not a lot of screws other than the ones to close up the case which is such a time saver. I would say the longest part was soldering because I don’t really enjoy that process as much but it went smoothly. Once the pcb, 3.5mm Poron PCB foam, PC plate and switches were assembled I simply put more foam on the bottom of the case, installed the gasket foam and it was time to install the pcb and close the board back up. For the keycaps I went with my fav line which are the DCX permafrost ones from Drop and there it was.. my dream winter board !

Overall feedback
When I saw this board at a french keyboard meetup I immediately knew I HAD to have it. Little did I know it was coming back in stock just 2 months after I saw it! (because I missed the initial GB). So as soon as extras were available, I went for it and bought it for myself. I have to say I do not regret investing in the Glacier80. It is the most gorgeous board I bought and the quality is incredible. The attention to details is what got me and now my goal is to find the artisan keycap that was sold during the GB because I did not find it!
